We walk the yard after a rain, or ask you to photograph the standing water next time it pools, so we're solving the actual problem, not a guess.

Downspouts first
Half of the puddles we get called about are downspouts dumping against the foundation. Buried extensions to daylight are the cheapest fix and often the whole answer.

French drain where it's needed
Perforated pipe in a gravel trench along the low line, wrapped in filter fabric, sloped to daylight or a dry well. Sized to the drainage area, not one-size-fits-all.

Catch basins for hard surfaces
Grated basins at the low spot of patios, driveways, or window wells, tied into the same pipe run so water moves out under gravity instead of pooling.

- Do I need a French drain or just a downspout extension?
- If the puddle is within ten feet of a downspout, start with the extension, often that's the whole fix. If water pools mid-yard or at a low corner independent of the roof, a French drain is the right call.
- Will you tie into my existing sump discharge?
- Yes, when it makes sense, we can tie a new run into an existing sump line if the pipe is sized for it and the outlet has somewhere to go.
- Can you do drainage in the winter?
- No, not once the ground freezes. Trenching is a warm-weather job, so we schedule drainage from thaw through October and hold winter calls for spring.
